Fall – A Time of Change, Preparation and Action!

Fall Central ParkFall means to me a new beginning and a fresh start.   The turning leaves, the crisp air, seeing the children head back to school, getting focused and back to a full work week all creates in me a sense of bitter sweet. I am sad to see the lazy days of summer pass, the chill in the air signaling the coming winter freeze. I know it is time again, after those playful and joyous summer days, to awaken what needs to be done, created, bought and sold. Time to get back to work and get serious on one’s life and purpose on the planet. It is time to end the year on a high note. Also, there is a type of melancholy that comes over me because I know the light of day is becoming shorter, and it is a time where the Earth starts its preparation for its hibernation for winter.

I believe with the signal of the fall equinox and the beginning of the harvest, awakens our drive and sense of purpose. It is time to wake up. It is ingrained in our DNA to start to bring into fruition and birth those plans that have been building and growing all year. They are ready to be birthed.   I know that for me, fall is a great time to release new programs, to reach out to people, to connect. It is time to start planning the next year and what I want to accomplish. It is time get myself moving in the direction I want to be going full steam ahead. It is also a time to remember the past with an eye on the future. What I wanted to accomplish this year and what I still have time to make happen.

fall-autumn-quotes-sayings-photos-funnyAs I mentioned, I do so love the beauty and colors of fall, the deep reds, yellows, greens and browns. I love seeing the pumpkins, hay and scarecrows everywhere and the preparation for Halloween. It feels so bitter sweet that the warm summer days are behind us and the cold is sneaking up on us, which forces me to be in the present moment, enjoying the warm day, the sun and the colors of the trees. This desire to not miss a moment forces me to stay present in my body and from there I can stay in touch with my hearts desires, what it wants to create, to manifest, to do and provides me with the energy to do it. It almost feels like I’m running out of time because I want to get it all done before the holidays come and everyone is distracted – once again putting things off until next year.

I believe the best way to get the most accomplished over these next few months is for me to commit to lead with my feminine self, which means to not just do, but to remember to stay in Flow, to be present. If I rely and lead with the masculine by only creating action items and lists of things to do, I will burn out, get strung out and stressed. I will be overscheduled and start to get frustrated, maybe angry. The best way to avoid this is not to create action for the sake of busy work, to not over schedule and over commit while you’re in action mode.   It is to allow your Flow and the Universal energy to work with you; it is a must to leave space in your mind, your schedule and your heart so that you can hear your heart speak to you. If you trust in yourself, your heart will tell you where to go, what to do and what to create next only if you take the time to listen to it speak to you. I know this can be a difficult task at times but it is ok to say no to some activities or plans, which will then allow you to have time to meditate, to sit, to workout. With all the “doing” it is important to maintain Self-Love by allowing your heart to speak to you loud and clear so you can hear her messages and live your life free from worry and stress. Living your best life in happiness and health not just during fall but all year round!

Love,

Carolyn
