Thankfulness & Gratitude are Game Changers!

CherriesI love Thanksgiving. I mean I really LOVE Thanksgiving. I love that it is a holiday purely about stopping everything to give thanks for our lives, our blessings, the food on the table and the people in our lives. I love being with my family and friends around delicious food and good company. For me, it is a time to feel grateful and to give thanks to the Universe, and the Creator for all that life has provided and all that we have received. I love that it is not about giving presents, nor is it a religious holiday, but to me it is a spiritual holiday. It is a holiday for me to remember to be grateful for what I do have in my life, and thankful for its abundance.

One way to create abundance and prosperity in your life is through gratitude. It is one of the important pieces in attracting what you want in your life. Being grateful is pure love for what you have, and for what you have been given and it is a signal to the universe to give you more of those very things. It is part of the ‘Velcro’ that lets good things stick to you and come your way. I do my best in the morning before I get out of bed to be excited for another day, to create good feelings in my body. Then I thank Mother Earth herself for another day on this beautiful planet and all she has provided for me. I thank her for my home, my life, my family, the food I eat, the water I drink, the Sun above and the ground below my feet. I then thank the animal kingdom and the elementals for their love and all that they do. I thank my Spirit Guides and my council, I thank my family and my ancestors, I thank Angels & Archangels for their love, power and protection, I thank my Soul and lastly my Creator for my life, for another day to be alive and for my family and friends. I create a field of gratitude before my feet even touch the ground. Then before I go to bed at night, I think about and write out at least 3-5 things I’m grateful for that happened during the day. This allows me to be in a positive state of mind and feeling gratitude and love for my life.

What are you thankful for

The more things in your life you can be grateful for throughout your day, even down to the water in your shower, that you even have running water, that you have a home, maybe a job or a business, income coming in or the ability to secure a new opportunity, people in your life who you love and love you, that you are healthy or on the way to getting healthy, that you are alive today is fantastic! Find things you are grateful for throughout the day, all day and see how you start feeling really good. It creates good feelings within you!

You see, most of the time we take for granted the hot running water, our beds, the food we eat, the people in our lives, and our health, our bodies. We don’t think to be grateful that we have health when we have it, and only think about it when we don’t feel good or if we are sick. Sometimes we think about what we don’t want and what we don’t have, not what we do have and be grateful for those things. The amazing thing is that the more we are grateful, the more we create a sense of wellbeing in our bodies and mind which then reduces stress, and worry which reduces attracting more of what you don’t want! The more you are grateful the more you are sending out love, the more love comes back to you with money, health, wonderful people, love and abundance.

I know for me, I struggle sometimes that I’m being stalked internally by negativity or depression. Sometimes I feel that, at any moment, it will grab me and take hold of me, and then I fear I won’t get out of bed. At times I will feel overwhelmed with the need to cry or stamp my feet for the perceived injustice of it all! Then, as I feel this negative energy trying to overtake me, I force myself immediately to start thinking about all the things I’m grateful for in my life, and I start to smile. I think about the birds, the blue sky, a perfect fall day, the beach, my family, and my friends. I know that I am lucky to live where I do, and have what I have, and that I am healthy and strong. I am more than capable of creating the life I want and then the stalker inside of me starts its retreat to its hiding place. I immediately start to feel better, my positive feelings start to emerge, and I start laughing at how silly I am being and then I’m off to the next thing in my day!

I would love to hear how gratitude works in your life and what you are grateful for in the comments below.

Have a wonderful THANKSgiving!

Love,

Carolyn
